Poor dog has had the runs all day. I’m on the night shift to take her out when she needs to go, which is about every 50 minutes, give or take. Poor dog. On the plus side, this is giving me a chance to rewatch Robotech on Amazon.

I was all about Robotech when it originally aired. I was nine years old. Those VF-1 Valkyries were mind blowing!

Hell, they’re still amazing. I was always a fan of the Guardian configuration, the half jet, half Battloid. If these things were real, I’d be first in line to sign up for the military to fly them.

I couldn’t find any pictures online, but I noticed something about the cars and other wheeled vehicles in the series. A lot of them have two sets of rear wheels, which on a little compact car is completely impractical, but still looks pretty neat. I guess you need more rear wheels in the future. Maybe 4x6? Or would it be 6x4? Maybe SWD? Audi e-tron sei All Wheel Drive?

Oh well. I’m pretty delirious right now. It’s 5am and I need sleep. But that’s not happening. Probably won’t happen until some time in the afternoon. I’m currently on Episode 21 of Season One, the OG Macross one. Good times. Incredibly cheesy, but so awesome even though I’m 31 years older.

I hope he’s feeling better soon and you get some sleep.

A colleague has a dog with an infected front paw and apparently when a dog gets an infected paw it goes through their system.

Yeah, we can’t figure out what’s wrong with her. Lady SonicGabe is a miracle worker with animals, but nothing has helped the poo soup. Other than the constant Code Browns, she’s fine. She’s not lethargic, still eating (though we have limited her intake), not hot, not cold, still chases the neighborhood cats around the backyard when she goes out (she loves the kitties and wants to play with them, not eat them). She perfectly fine except something has totally messed up her G.I. tract. She hasn’t eaten anything that she doesn’t normally eat, at least that we know of.

Shit happens. A lot in this case. I’m sure she’ll be fine. She’ll be at the vet in about three or four hours. Sadly for her, a line of thunderstorms is rolling through right now, so she’ll be really unhappy about having to go out when The Urge next washes over her.

And so far, she’s only sharted once; and it was just a little tiny bit. This whole ordeal has the potential to be disgusting. So far, so good.

Back to more Robotech while I await the next wave.

Planes that turn into mechs and both the best mechs and the best planes.

Hope your puppy feels better soon—our dogs have actually had the same issue over the last couple of days, and as our rescue still doesn’t have quite the same level of self-control when it comes to inside-pooping as the one we’ve had from a puppy... Yeah, we’ve had to do some serious scrubbing on at least one big rug.

This too shall pass.

One of my dogs gets the runs every time she catches and eats one of the many lizards that live in our back yard. She’s never made the connection.

The other dog finally learned that licking toads is a bad idea. It only took four or five seizures for him to figure it out. He still tries to catch the lizards, but he leaves the toads alone.

Pepto-Bismol Pills are your friend. Our Foxhound loves Florida Lizards and would have perpetual diarrhea were it not for those wonderful little pink pills. Vet approved BTW.
